Winter Wonderland?

Christian Garweg Clinic, November 2012
It seems that the good old Canadian weather is interfering with important horse business once again! Due to uncertain shipping conditions, Christian will be taking the risk on our wintery roads during his next visit. He will be here between January 5th and 9th.
Everyone will still be welcome to ship into Martin Farms if they would like but if you can gather together a few people to make the trip worth his while, we may be able to get Christian Garweg to come to you. If you are interested in having a lesson or two, please contact me ASAP and I will do my best to fit you in!
Ontario Has Talent Fashion Show

Today was the Ontario Has Talent Fashion Show. What a great time! The clothes were fantastic, the silent auction had great items and the vendors were diverse and interesting. From candles, to horse hair jewellery, to fabulous clothing, you could find the perfect Christmas gift for almost anyone! Best of all was the company. It was great to catch up with old friends and get to know new ones better!
This is an excellent cause! I would have loved to have this kind of opportunity when I was a Junior and Young Rider. Thank you to Kim Goodyear and all of those involved in putting this day on. Please check out the Ontario Has Talent website, maybe you will find an event you would enjoy attending!
An Excellent Couple of Days with Christian Garweg!

A great time was had by all at the Christian Garweg clinic this week! We had some terrific horses and riders with a wide range of skill sets. Everyone enjoyed Christian’s charm, sense of humour and depth of knowledge. We are all looking very forward to his return!

I would like to extend a very large THANKYOU to Ruth and John Martin for their hospitality. As well as a to the barn manager, Uli, who remained smiling and helpful throughout. You all made it very easy for me to do my job!
Unfortunately, my camera didn’t like the cold weather so we don’t have as many pictures as I had hoped.
Christian Garweg is Back!

Ruth Martin and I are very excited to be hosting a clinic with Christian Garweg next week at Martin Farms in Inglewood, Ontario!!
November 6th we will be starting at 2 PM and on November 7th we will begin at 12 PM.
The clinic is full for these dates but Christian does come back every 5-6 weeks and we are hoping we will host a clinic for him again at that time. Auditors are Welcome! Food and drinks will be supplied, you just need to bring your own chair. It promises to be a terrific day!

Equi-fest a Success!

Congratulations to the organizers of Equi-fest, WHOA. Despite the cold and the rain the turnout for the event was very good and everyone seemed to be having a terrific time. I enjoyed meeting everyone and watching all the different clinics and demonstrations. It was also really nice to see so many people enjoying their horses and learning how to better care for and train them. Hope to see you next year!
